Sustainable and Adaptive Materials (SAM) Research Group

While, the cement and concrete sector play an important role in the European economy, they account for approximately 8% of the global CO₂ emission. Hence, research on reducing green gas emission, improving cement manufacturing process and deriving alternative raw material resources for concrete became a great asset . Fulfilling this ambition for design and production of sustainable concrete technologies, SAM Group is an international interdisciplinary research group, which works on the development of innovative and sustainable cement-based materials to surmount the global problems of the construction sector.

SAM Group is a Turkey based research laboratory aims to perform cutting-edge research on cement-based materials, transferring technology and knowledge. This laboratory welcomes global and local researchers and companies for further development of game changing construction  SAM Group performs key research and development on material science of concrete including innovative advanced concrete technologies with sustainable solutions. Primarily, this lab proposes high-end research studies in development of bio-based building materials and their use in the field.
